The Phantom of the Opera has music by Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Charles Hart (with additional lyrics by Richard Stilgoe), and a book by Stilgoe and Lloyd Webber. The Italian production, presented by Broadway Italia, will restage and redesign some aspects of the show. See Milo perform "Think of Me" in the video below. She previously appeared onstage as a backup singer on Kristin Chenoweth's tour in 2016, and recently has sung alongside Andrea Bocelli.
Milo, making her professional musical debut, is a recent graduate of Brown University, where she studied musical theatre. He also continued in the role through its sequel, Love Never Dies, written by Lloyd Webber specifically for Karimloo. Karimloo has previously played the title role on London's West End and in the British 25th Anniversary concert at the Royal Albert Hall. Presented in English and directed by Federico Bellone, the production will be the first time The Phantom of the Opera has been staged in Italy.
Karimloo and Milo will step into the roles of the Phantom and Christine beginning July 4 at the Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia in Trieste, Italy.
